VISON:WA-VISON
Kuranoya is a miso specialty shop with its main location at Tokyo’s Toyosu Market. They sell locally made miso from around Japan and miso related products to both food industry pros and the general public. In addition to packaged products, you can purchase the miso of your choice by weight.
The VISON branch holds daily miso making classes where you can learn about this traditional Japanese food in a fun way (participation is first-come, first serve on the day of the program. Up to 6 groups).
Kuranoya’s name comes from the fact that as a storehouse (kura), they deal in miso, koji, and other Japanese delicacies that come from nature’s bounty. They hope to offer customers the matured flavor of fermentation.
Locally produced miso from all over Japan is available for purchase in 100 g units.
The store also sells miso-related products in addition to local miso.
Hands-on miso making classes are held daily at the shop so visitors can have fun learning about miso. You can take the miso you make home with you. (Participation is first-come, first served on the day of the program. Up to 6 groups).
